Primary Picture shoot creative, conceptual images for the commercial and stock photography markets. We're currently based in the North West of England ( between Manchester and Liverpool ) and have a broad focus covering business and lifestyle imagery. Our approach is to create thought provoking pictures... meaningful, creative, humorous, quirky etc. We develop our own concepts, make our own props and buid our own sets, the majority of which are done on a very small budget. In addition to the concept, planning shoots is also an important part of the process, spending time collecting the right props is essential as is choosing the right location.

We also shoot for small and large businesses and so if you're looking for specific photography, require image retouching or training we can help. We provide custom photo shoots so you can get exactly the right image or picture set you need. We offer a retouching service from simple cut-outs and colour correction to complex image comping, please email for prices. In addition to photography and retouching we provide training in Adobe Photoshop and workflow software Adobe Lightroom. Training costs are dependent on your specific requirements and location.

Primary Picture is a collaboration between Peter Booth and Alexa Booth. Peter trained as a graphic designer and has worked as an art director both in the UK and Asia mainly in magazine publishing for eighteen years. After graduating from college Alex worked as a freelance photographer for various publishing companies before opening her own studio. Together they have gained extensive experience organising successful photo shoots.
